Book Prize “The Political Book 2026” for Artificial Intelligence and the New Fascism

I am very pleased to announce a special distinction: My German book Künstliche Intelligenz und der neue Faschismus (Artificial Intelligence and the New Fascism) has been selected as “The Political Book 2026” by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.

The prize, awarded annually, honors an outstanding political non-fiction book that makes an important contribution to the public understanding of political developments and stimulates democratic debate.

I honoured that my book has been recognized in this context. It seeks to show how current developments in artificial intelligence are connected to authoritarian and fascist forms of politics—and why this connection must be taken seriously if we want to defend democratic societies.

My thanks go to the jury of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, to Reclam publishing house, and to all readers, colleagues, and interlocutors who accompany and contribute to the discussion of these issues.
