Research colloquium

Our research colloquium “Ethics and Critical Theories of AI” covers advanced topics in the ethics of AI, critical social theories of the digital society, privacy and data protection, social philosophy, philosophy of technology and media studies of AI. We read recent publications as well as classical texts, debate presentations of ongoing projects and regularly host guest talks by interesting scholars in the field.

Notice: Due to a sabbatical the colloquium will be paused in the Winter Term 2025/26. We will reconvene in April 2026.

The colloquium meets during term time (Summer term: mid April – mid July; Winter term: mid October – early February) every Wednesday, 13:15–15:45 Central European time. The colloquium meets in a hybrid format. Interested researchers and advanced students (MA, Ph.D.) from anywhere in the world are welcome to join.
